Automotive collision repair facilities in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., who are willing to adopt WMABA's Standards for Membership and offer a guarantee are encouraged to join the association. WMABA also welcomes all members from affiliated businesses.

WMABA is a 40-year-old organization of professional collision repair businesses and affiliated businesses. Over the years, WMABA has represented the collision repair industry at hearings on Capitol Hill, in Annapolis, Md., and Richmond, Va.

WMABA has an arbitration program and works with consumers to help them solve any problems they might have with a member collision repair business.

WMABA provides technical information and current events to the collision repair industry and associate members, and offers courses on current topics of importance to our industry.

Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association Member Guarantee
  • As a member of the Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association the collision repair shop will guarantee vehicle repairs to be free from defects in materials and workmanship and conform to generally accepted industry standards in use at the time of repairs.
  • The guarantee will be for one year. It is further understood that due to the many diverse parts used in the repair of vehicles, this guarantee shall not exceed the supplier's warranty for any parts on which there is such a warranty.
  • Terms:

    This guarantee covers the owner of the vehicle repaired and is not transferable.
  • This guarantee does not cover:

    1. Normal wear and tear, misuse, damage, and neglect.
    2. Damage unrelated to the accident or other reason for which the vehicle is being repaired.
    3. Damage not included in the agreed upon repairs.
    4. Loss of use, and unrelated compensation.
    5. Repair of "inner" rust.
    6. Damage caused by environmental pollutants.
